Session One - Feb 15 - 10:00 - 11:00 am

Faith Foundations (For Parents of Preschoolers) - Led by our Preschool Ministry Team

Do you ever ask yourself the following questions: How should my child be praying? When should I start teaching my child about a relationship with Christ? These are normal questions every parent asks themselves. In this interactive class, we will be discussing these topics and more regarding how to lay the foundation in your preschooler’s spiritual life for a personal relationship with Jesus.

Anxiety and Your Child (For Preschool - Junior High parents) -  Maggie Bertram

Anxiety is on the rise within our society and many of the kids we love are suffering because of it. In this breakout, we’ll focus in on what childhood anxiety looks like, we’ll touch on some of the causes of anxiety, and we’ll gain practical steps for how we as adults can help equip our kids to fight for peace.

Kids Can: Growing Character and Responsibility in Your Child (For Preschool - Junior High Parents) Sarah Thiele and Liz Flurry

God has entrusted us with children so we can “Train Them Up.”  But how do we battle a culture that champions entitlement and selfishness?   Join us for this breakout as we explore ways we can combat entitlement in our kids while shepherding them toward a spirit of humility, servant-heartedness, and independence.

Dating and Your Child (For Junior High & High School Parents) - Led by our Student Ministry Team

Wow – this conversation came fast!  Your kid and their friends are talking about who is dating who. But have you talked with your child about dating?  What are the rules in your home?  Have you discussed boundaries and responsibilities?  Have your prepared your kid for dating? Are you too late? These are just some of the questions we are going to talk about in this breakout. Come and learn what dating can look like in your home.

Loving and Leading Your Kids Through Failure (For parents of kids of any age) - Led by our Student Ministry Team

Sometimes we need to let our kids fail. More importantly than just letting them fail, we need to help our kids learn from failure. What is your family’s Biblical outlook and stance on failure and disappointment? How are you setting your kids up for success by leveraging their failures? This breakout will explore and give practical steps on how we can help our kids navigate failure and disappointment.

We Were Here First:  How to Prioritize Your Marriage in a Child-Centric World - Eric and Sarah Conley and Terry and Susan Sowell

The main, and most significant, relationship in our households should be between the husband and wife. Before kids, that was easy, but since kids, it is much, much, harder! How we prioritize our marriage speaks volumes to our spouse and our children. Come and hear how your marriage was designed to be the priority, and some practical ways to keep it there.

For Women Only: Me, Myself & Marriage - Pat Bramlett and Kelly Sobieski

God has a unique role for wives within the context of marriage. Your freedom directly impacts your relationship with your husband on an emotional, physical, and spiritual level. Discover God’s gift of true intimacy and learn to identify some of the ways the enemy tries to rob us of His blessing in our marriages.

For Men Only: Experience Your True Identity Doug Valot

Men - Have you ever felt stuck in your life? Or maybe you struggle with knowing God’s love. You know what the Bible says but there seems to be a disconnect between your head and your heart. For all of us, at our core we are asking the question “Who am I”?  How we answer that question impacts the trajectory of our lives. Come and learn how in slowing down and resting in Jesus you find the answer of who you really are.

Through encouragement and discipline, we can help them find answers to their questions and help shape their identity in healthy ways.

Grandparents have a huge impact on the faith maturity of grandchildren.  As parents cultivate and shape spiritual disciplines, we help form “faith identity.” Grandparents who model their faith see higher faith maturity in their grandchildren.  How we live out our faith in front of our children and grandchildren matters in a huge way.
